🔗 Before You Start
Check out the companion article: Getting Started in Catalog Editor
The Catalog Editor in Flameplace is built to mirror the natural logic of product presentation. In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
Create a Collection
Add an Interior Group
Upload Items (Articles)
Set up Prices and Variations
In this guide, you'll go from a blank catalog to a fully structured collection with groups, items, and price variations — ready to share with your clients.
🗂️ Step 1: Create a Collection
Collections are thematic blocks of your catalog — like seasonal launches or curated product lines.
To create a new Collection:
Click the Create Collection card.
Fill in the required fields:
Name
Price Level (defines your segment: entry-level, high-end, etc.)
Style and Substyle (e.g., Contemporary, Classic, etc.)
Click Save.
✅ Your collection is now visible in the Catalog Editor and can be edited or shared at any time.
🛋️ Step 2: Add an Interior Group
Interior Groups help you cluster products within a collection by function or room.
Both Collections and Interior Groups can be temporarily hidden from public access in the Content Library and the Catalog section of the company page. Use the edit menu (⋮) to Hide or Show a group or collection at any time.
An eye icon indicates the current visibility status.
This is particularly useful when a manufacturer wants to suspend the availability of an entire collection or specific product groups. Hiding a collection will also hide all groups it contains.
To create an Interior Group:
Select a Collection.
Click Create Interior Group.
Choose:
Type (e.g., Lighting, Furniture, Accessories)
Subtype (e.g., Dining Room, Outdoor, etc.)
Upload a Group Cover Image — this will be used as the thumbnail.
Click Save.
✅ Each Interior Group acts as a product container — from sofas and beds to mirrors or fixtures.
🛠️ Step 3: Upload Items (Articles)
Each article represents a physical product with its own specifications.
To create a new Item:
Select an Interior Group.
Click the + button to open the item creation form.
Enter:
Item Thumbnail and Images
Product Type and Interior Group (can be changed manually if needed)
Item Name, Code, Description
Custom Production — defines whether the item can be customized upon client request. If enabled, users will be able to submit custom requests when adding the item to their projects.
Size, Volume, Weight, and production details
Click Save to publish the article in the group.
You can edit items later, add new photos, or update technical specs.
💰 Step 4: Add Prices and Variations
Each item can have multiple price entries depending on material, size, or other variations.
To set up price options:
Open the Item and scroll to the Prices and Variations section.
Click Add Price.
Fill in:
Label (e.g., As photo, With marble top)
Material, Dimensions, Notes
Retail Price
You can:
Add as many options as needed
Include price explanations
Link each price to specific features
